Take pleasure in assisting the Chef to prepare delicious meals for the children, and see the smiles on parents' faces when you hand them their fresh morning coffee.
In this role, you will:
Support the Centre in preparing nutritious meals, purees, and special meals for babies and children as well as assist with budgeting and costing for the kitchen when required
Enjoy greeting people in a friendly manner and provide barista service to families (experience preferred but training provided if you are not experienced with this)
Maintain a clean and safe kitchen, in accordance with Food and Council Authority requirements.
Be a part of the centre's regular culinary classes with the children
Be available and willing to step into the Chef's role during any periods of absence or leave
Be able to work Monday to Friday from 7.30am
You will have:
Food Safety Certificate
Experience working in Aged care or an Early Education setting
A current Working with Children's Check
Current Anaphylaxis, Asthma, CPR and First Aid Certificates or willingness to obtain one
Prior experience working in a childcare or aged care kitchen (preferred, but not essential)
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Solid time management skills with a high level of initiative
