SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Financial Accountant to oversee our company's financial operations and contribute to its financial growth and stability. As a Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. Your expertise will be crucial in providing strategic insights to drive informed business decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  •      Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  •          Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  •         Present financial data to senior management, providing insights into company performance and financial health.
  •         Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
  •         Monitor budget performance, track variances, and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
  •         Provide support in evaluating capital expenditures and investment opportunities.
  •         Manage cash flow by monitoring cash balances, analyzing cash forecasts, and optimizing cash inflows and outflows.
  •         Ensure efficient management of working capital, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory.
  •         Contribute to the development and execution of financial strategies aligned with the company's goals and growth plans.
  •         Provide strategic insights to senior management on financial implications of business decisions and potential opportunities.
  •          Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.
  •         Oversee the preparation of tax returns, audits, and other financial reporting requirements. 
  •         Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
  •         Foster a collaborative and productive team environment that supports professional growth.
  •         Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, enhance accuracy, and improve overall efficiency.


Requirements

·         Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
·         2 - 4 years of progressive experience in accounting / finance roles, with demonstrated growth in responsibilities.
·         Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
·         Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis.
·         Advanced skills in financial software, accounting systems, and Microsoft Excel.
·         Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
·         Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving abilities.
·         Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
·         Strong ethical standards and commitment to integrity in financial management.
·         Candidate should be familiar with Xero accounting software.
·         ICAN certification is an added advantage
