PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 

v  Develop and optimize Quality Plans, Quality Assurance documents and Inspection Plans for parts and assemblies.

v  Gather and analyze performance data (scrap, rejections, defects, rework) to aid in the development of process improvement projects. 

v  As needed, coordinate across other production and functional areas to ensure maximum quality and efficiencies are achieved.

v  Conduct process or product based audits in production or functional areas or within the supply base (external suppliers).

v 

v  Mentor other Quality Engineers and lead Quality implementations in new areas and make improvements to existing Quality processes.

v  Train Quality Engineers in the operation of Quality systems and procedures.

v  Manage projects, including working with outside suppliers or specialists with minimal guidance or supervision. Proactively provides status visibility and develops solutions to issues.

v  Review data, prepare presentations, write reports as needed.

v Candidate needs to have Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical / Aerospace / Industrial engineering or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain Management.

v Candidate should possess 8-10 years of relevant experience. 

v Candidate needs to have solid understanding of Quality processes, manufacturing methods, engineering drawings, and BOMs.

v Candidate must have experience with conducting internal or external audits.

v Candidate must have knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001 Standards.

v Familiarity with the use of tools such as PFMEA, 6 Sigma, Lean Principles, and statistical techniques will be preferred. 

v Familiarity with NADCAP and Special Processing will be preferred.

v Candidates with ASQ Quality Certifications and project management experience will be preferred. 

v Excellent written, verbal communications skills and interpersonal skills are essential to communicate with domestic and foreign counterparts.

v Candidate should possess good understanding of concepts and practical approach to problem solving.
