Description

An exciting opportunity has become available in our Health and Compliance team for a Ranger on a permanent Full-Time basis. 

In this role the successful applicant will work to ensure the safe and fair use of the City's parking resources and the safety and amenity of the community. They will uphold and consistently demonstrate the City's values of Respect, Integrity, Customer Service and Team Work. 

The key responsibilities of this role:

  • Patrol streets and car parks, issue infringements for parking non-compliance or take corrective action to ensure fair and safe use of parking resources.
  • Assist with community education programs.
  • Administer the provisions of the Dog Act 1976, the Cat Act 2011 and others.
  • Report on damaged and missing, signs, abandoned vehicles and faded road markings.
  • Report any unsafe situations, occurrences or alleged offences to the police or others for information and corrective action.
  • Provide assistance and information to the business community, residents, ratepayers and visitors on matters and issues relating to access and amenity.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Well-developed ability to use corporate computer systems
  • Ability to interpret the relevant acts and legislation and associated technical documents
  • C Class Drivers Licence

Salary Range: $78,750 to $85,440 plus 11% employer superannuation and additional co-contribution to your superannuation.
