The PACU RN is a critical position on our Care Team, overseeing patient care by monitoring the recovery of pediatric patients’ post-sedation. The ideal candidate will have experience working with pediatric PACU patients. Our schedules offer flexibility including no Sunday’s or evening shifts.


Responsibilities

  • Utilize best practice to provide age specific pediatric care during the pre-op, intra-op and post-op period
  • Evaluate patient's responses to treatments and interventions
  • Complete paperwork and patient charting as needed
  • Demonstrates positive and effective interpersonal skills when dealing with patients/families, peers, and other health care team members
  • Utilize technology to track, document, and report patient care
  • Communication with patients, parents, client offices, and a variety of healthcare professionals
  • Medical review of patient records for clearance
  • Regional travel to onsite office for delivery of patient care


Requirements
  • Licensed RN in Ohio
  • BLS Certification and the ability to obtain ACLS and PALS Certifications within the first 30 days of employment
  • Excellent patient care skills
  • Experience working with pediatric PACU patients
  • Ability to travel within the region
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail
  • Ability to enter patient information accurately and timely into EMR system
  • Contingent upon candidate's successful completion of the company credentialing process and contingent upon acceptable applicable background check results
