Numerical Groundwater Modelling Specialist (m/f/d) - 100% Remote
Your Mission:
As a Numerical Groundwater Modelling Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in the assessment, analysis, and management of groundwater resources. While prior experience with PCGEOFIM and GIS is desirable.
Your daily tasks:
- Conducting numerical modelling of groundwater flows, matter, and heat transport.
- Providing expert advice on groundwater exploration, remediation concepts, and planning.
- Collecting, evaluating, and interpreting hydrogeological and hydrogeochemical data for integration into numerical models.
- Documenting modelling results in presentations and expert reports for clients and regulatory authorities.
- Preparing project offers and providing customer support throughout project lifecycles.
- Technical creation and operation of new and existing groundwater models, with a focus on scientific evaluation and interpretation of results.
- Participation in discussion meetings and collaborative project efforts.
- Contributing to various water management projects and publications, either independently or as part of a team.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in hydrogeology, geology, water management, geosciences, geotechnics, civil engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated professional experience in numerical modelling using common programs.
- Strong interest in groundwater modelling; familiarity with PCGEOFIM is advantageous.
- Prior knowledge of water management calculations and geographic information systems (GIS) preferred.
- Confident demeanor with excellent teamwork skills.
- Proficiency with reporting systems and Microsoft Office products.
