Pharmacy Specialists is seeking a high level strategic leader to partner with the Executive Team in season of growth. The Human Resources Director is responsible for overseeing HR management and department operations to adhere to organizational policies and procedures. Their duties include communicating between company Executives and management, managing the HR department budget, coordinating with management to ensure compliance with HR laws and regulations, and being responsible for all staffing and personnel management.

Position Summary:

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for pharmacy staffing and personnel management for close to 100 employees in two locations (Highland Park//Houston).

Salary Range: $80 - $110K annually, plus additional compensation. 100% Employer Paid insurance for employee only - medical, dental, vision; ANDD/Short/long term Life Insurance; 401K 3% matching; 15 days of PTO; 6 paid holidays.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

• Must be a High School graduate or equivalent. BA in Human Resources preferred.

• A minimum of five (5) plus years of progressively more responsible work experience in leading a Human Resource Department at a life sciences company, preferably home health, infusion pharmacy, and/or DME supplier.

• Experience at a supervisory/management level preferred.

• Demonstrated verbal and written analytical/problem solving, communication, negotiation, interpersonal and presentation skills in English are essential.

• Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to plan and meet deadlines required.

• Demonstrated ability to understand and comply with federal, state and local regulations and company operating procedures, processes, policies and tasks.

• Demonstrated personal computer skills including spreadsheet skills, word processing, data base management and other relevance applications.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Report any misconduct, suspicious or unethical activities to the CEO, PIC, and/or Compliance Officer.

• Responsible for the recruitment and selection of employees based on applicants’ credentials and qualifications including training and licensure

• Uses a consistent and non-discriminating process to select employees as follows:

a. Conducts personal interview on all applicants at the time of recruitment and selection
b. Obtains two written or verbal follow up of employment references or job history
c. Verifies education, experience, training, licensure or certification as appropriate to job responsibilities
d. Selects and employs qualified individuals without regard to gender, race, age, creed, handicap, sexual orientation, religion or national origin

• Ensure the completion of necessary personnel record forms as required by pharmacy policy and local, state and federal laws and regulations.

• Coordinates an orientation program for all new employees, including an introduction to the organization, staff and employee rules and responsibilities

• Promote a positive work climate and team-building atmosphere within the pharmacy, encourage effective communication within the organization concerning human resources matters, and focus on staff retention.

• Ensures that all employees receive ongoing education, including in-services, training and other activities to maintain and improve staff competence
