JOB SUMMARY:

Employer Kautex Inc. is seeking an Engineer Product Development CVS in Troy, MI. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Develop customer ADAS sensor cleaning systems from first system concept through quote, prototyping, validation and towards a fully released product in mass production; ensure proactive requirements and risk management for all technical aspects; ensure that customer specifications as well as cost targets, design-to-manufacture and timing goals are met; knowledge about and compliance to the customer specific requirements; seek for and achieve customers’ buy in to utilize standardized development and validation testing, if and where useful and applicable; act as technical liaison between product development teams and the customer and all other internal functions like design, manufacturing, and industrialization; supervise product testing including handling of hazardous substances, interpretation of test results, introduction of the necessary actions and modifications as required to ensure that all requirements are met; support flawless launches by planning and controlling all technical issues related to assigned project and support the Program Manager in delivering highest quality solutions to our customers; provide product engineering expertise in a professional manner during customer visits and audits, with the team as well as in collaboration with other departments (e.g. manufacturing); act as a Technical Project Lead Engineer with responsibility for a technical team in small/medium complex projects. 

EDUCATION:

A Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering. 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

At least an internship or relevant work experience where the following experience was gained\: Engineering and Product Development; automotive washer system design and development for USA, Asian, and European based OEM’s; designing, developing, and leading engineering of washer systems using APQP processes for OEMs, using GD&T, DFMA, reliability, DFMEA, DVPR; utilizing automotive APQP PPAP process, including both supplier PPAP review and signoff with Supplier Quality, and PPAP preparation and submission to customer; providing conceptual design input for CAE and CFD analysis and organizing and ensuring the Design Validation Phase of products from prototyping coordination to confirming test results and program timing, including engineering changes; and leading A3 problem solving activity within mass production environment, including root cause analysis, corrective action, and resolution.

800 Tower Dr. Suite 200, Troy, MI 48098; Hybrid Work-From-Home schedule permitted 2-3 days/week within a reasonable commuting distance from office, located at 800 Tower Dr. Suite 200, Troy, MI 48098; 40 hours/week.
