Designation: AIF/PMS Operations Manager with a leading Asset management company

Qualification: CA/CFA or equivalent MBA Finance


Job Purpose/Role Description:


As the AIF/PMS Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end fund accounting operations for Alternative Investment Funds (AIF), Cat II & III. You will serve as the single point of contact for NAV operations and audits, including concurrent, internal, and statutory audits. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including compliance, fund management, settlements, sales teams, fund accountants, bankers, fund custodians, brokers, and counterparties, to ensure adherence to and improvement of laid-down operational policies, SLAs, and processes in the best interest of the business and all internal and external stakeholders.


Must Have: Experience in managing fund accounting operations, including NAV management, corporate actions accounting, and capital activity accounting.

Good to have certifications: NISM Series XV, NISM Series I (compliance/Regulatory), NISM Series VII - Securities Operations and Risk Management Certification


Key Responsibilities:


NAV Management:


- Ensure error-free and timely NAV processing and release for all schemes (Cat II & III), including daily, fortnightly, and monthly NAVs.

- Accounting for corporate actions such as dividend, bonus, merger, split, etc.

- Coordinate with fund accountants, brokers, counterparties, and custodians for NAV accounting.

- Accounting for capital activity, including subscriptions and redemptions in compliance with PPM and applicable regulations.

- Handling taxation matters such as TDS, GST payments, including periodic return filing, and advance tax management.

- Daily bank, holding, and expense reconciliation.

- Automation of all business and operations processes, including reconciliation.

- Vendor coordination for any upgrades or enhancements in trading and accounting systems.


- Providing inputs for Business MIS for AIF Business.


Expense Management:


- Calculation of fees, including setup fees, management fees, custody, performance fees, exit load, brokerage, margins, PCM charges, distributor brokerage, and other charges.

- Monthly TDS and GST payment for all AIF schemes.


Regulatory Compliance:


- Ensure effective compliance with applicable AIF regulations and associated requirements.

- Preparation/review of regulatory reports (monthly and quarterly for SEBI, RBI, etc.).

- Reviewing PPM for existing/new products and deliberating on operational nuances.

- Ensuring timely completion of statutory and internal audits.

- Preparing/reviewing various investor-related communications, such as Form 64-C, K-1 statements for NRI US investors, income/principle distribution pay-out letters, drawdown notices, etc.

- Computation of tax under the Income Tax Act, 1961, as per the applicability and incorporating the same in NAV for CAT III AIFs, reviewing the annual income tax return of AIFs.

- Knowledge of "Wealth spectrum" system (Preferable)

- Hands on knowledge of Excel, word, PowerPoint etc.
