Summary
The Global Project Leader (GPL) is expected to provide strategic leadership for highly complex cross-functional team to advance one or more programs through clinical development strategy; regulatory submission; manufacturing and commercialization. The GPL also serves to integrate cross-functional input, formulate team recommendations, and direct program(s) through corporate governance, while maintaining adherence to program timelines and budgets. Finally, the GPL must maintain effective communication with Pre-Clinical and Clinical Development Team Members, Commercial Team Members, Manufacturing Team Members, and others including Senior Management and the Executive Team. Projects may be internal or part of alliance agreements with external research and development partners.
Position may be remote. Expected salary is $140,000 - $195,000.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Lead the Global Project(s) in setting project/product strategies, goals, priorities, and long-term plans by partnering with cross-functional leaders to develop comprehensive product development and lifecycle management plans (Non-Clinical, Clinical, CMC, Regulatory, Commercial) that optimize value, time, resources, risk, and alignment with business objectives.
Develop and implement product development and lifecycle management plans which includes development of vision and strategy for assets, identifying critical paths and resource needs, proactively mitigate risks with contingency plans, document and communicate progress with proposed solutions to potential delays or roadblocks.
Direct project(s) through corporate governance to ensure that projects have adequate resources and expertise, issues and risks are addressed in a timely manner, and projects adhere to agreed-upon scope, timelines, and budget.
Lead Project Strategy Team meetings and work with members to ensure clear and timely communication to cross-functional project team(s).
Advocate and support key business initiative by evaluating new opportunities including potential partnerships while maintaining corporate interested at all times.
Contribute to the development of cross-functional team members to help identify opportunities for team member growth as a leader.

Travel: Estimated at 20% of the time, U.S. and international.

Expertise in MS Project, Excel, and other project management tools.
Education And Experience
Advanced degree (e.g., MS, MBA, PhD, PharmD) preferred (ideally in science, and/or management) with relevant professional experience or equivalent; PMP or similar professional project management certification is a plus.
Minimum 10+ years' experience in pharma industry and at least 8 years drug development project management/leader experience.
Industry experience: Direct, global pharmaceutical or drug development experience is required.
